Pancake fun!
Ms. O' Mahony's class had lots of fun on Pancake Tuesday. WE made the batter, cooked the 'pancakes' and played restaurant when we were eating. We finished the day with " Toss the Pancake"

"Spring has Sprung " in Junior Infants

​St. Bridget loved to help the poor people by giving them food. Today we learned how to make butter using cream and some jam jars. We were very tired from shaking the jars but we got to taste some homemade butter on digestive biscuits as a treat.

Polar Express in Juniors 
Ms O'Mahony's Junior Infants became Polar Explorers in January. We learned about the Inuit people, Arctic animals and the Northern lights. We made tents and went fishing in freezing water!!! ​

Mrs. O Gorman's Junior Infants enjoyed making crosses today for their parents. We joined Fr. Larkin online for 10 o clock mass and he blessed them for us.

Halloween Hobble 
​

Ms. O' Mahony and Ms. O' Gorman brought the Junior infant classes on a Halloween Hobble.
Ghosts, superhero's witches, princesses, Dracula and builders were spotted scaring the locals. ​

Maths week 2021

For Maths Week, Ms O'Mahony's and Ms. O' Gorman's  class were having lots of fun  working on creating 'tall' and 'short' constructions and learning about patterns . 

Getting to know each other 

It's early in September, and Ms O'Mahony's Junior Infants are busy cutting, sticking and getting to know each other. 

Aistear 

​We are learning social skills, language and maths each morning during Aistear, when we play with other friends. We have worked on the themes of The Farm Shop and The Halloween Shop.

Ms O'Mahony's class have been working on fine motor skills. We enjoy threading beads, working with play dough and making jigsaws.

Ms. O Mahony's class had lots of fun on all these activities: 
Trip to Cappa, Playing Basketball,Slime with Carmel, Painting Pottery, Teddy Bears' Picnic, Sports' Day, Walled Garden and Mystery in the Maze

We really enjoyed trying out the iPads we got from The Clare Education Centre 

​We have really enjoyed watching our caterpillars change into chrysalis’ and emerge as beautiful butterflies. Today we released them in the Mercy Garden.

We enjoyed making hot chocolate with Carmel. We  had a lovely Easter party after our Egg Hunt.

Ms. O Mahony's class are on a Bug Hunt. We are learning about minibeasts at the moment 

We are doing a science experiment: we are investigating how the height and texture of a ramp will effect the egg as it travels down the ramp.

We are making Glitter Jars. It is so exciting to create our own jar with our favourite colour glitter 

Ms. O Mahony's class are busy making a lovely gift for their wonderful Mammys for Mother's Day 

We have been planting seeds with Carmel. We are looking forward to watching our plants grow.

We have really enjoyed watching our frog spawn grow from tadpoles to froglets. Very soon they will be fully grown frogs!

We made lime green and orange jelly so that when  we eat it with a scoop of white ice-cream it will look like the Irish flag! Green, White and Gold!

Santa’s helpers, Robert & John from An Post came to visit us. They brought Santa’s special postbox so that we could all post our Santa letters. Thankyou Robert & John.

We got lovely selection boxes from Robert and John when they came to visit with Santa’s Postbox. Thankyou so much.

We have been learning about our 5 senses . Today we explored our sense of taste. We tasted foods that were bitter, sweet, sour and salty.

It's Halloween!
