Halloween Poetry

A Stormy Night
It was a dark stormy night,
A witch gave me a fright.
A scream came from the barn,
In the haunted farm.
The wheat gave a rustle,
It was a big hustle.
A bear came from the wheat,
It had big feet.
I saw a skeleton under the table,
In the haunted stable.
We all ran away,
On a dark Halloween day.

By Cian, Kalina, Craig, Michelle, MJ & Abigail

The Ghost Party

One Halloween night,
I saw a scary ghost,
It gave me such a fright,
Then he gave me a slice of toast,
His friends came along,
They wanted to have fun,
They brought a big gong ,
And they each had a bun,
When they went away ,
When we cleaned the mess up,
It was nearly the next day,
Hip, Hip, Horray!

By Jake, Layla, Timothy, Amelia, Ríon & Lucy

Once upon a fright

Carving out the pumpkin,
Give him scary eyes.
Putting in the night light,
Eating pumpkin pies.
Putting on our costumes,
Getting ready for the sweets.
Make ourselves look scary,
To go trick or treat.
Finished trick or treating,
Eating all the sweets.
It was really scary,
On the cold dark streets.

Halloween night
It was Halloween night and my friend gave me a fright,
We walked down the street and said trick or treat smell my feet.
We knocked on the door and out came a witch.
She was so scary we ran with a twitch.
When we got home we had a big feast,
My dad came in dressed as a beast.

Volcanoes

Making Hovercrafts

4th Class are off to a busy start in science. We learnt about volcanoes in history and geography so we made our own erupt.
We learnt about magnets so we connected magnets to race cars and raced them. We were learning about transport and the history of transport so we made boats and tried to put as many 'people' (peas) on as possible before it sank!

Rugby Fever has hit St. Senan's
Ben from Munster rugby is teaching us new skills.
